Around 10:30pm a lightning strike seen from Downtown Mountain View. Same strike played at 100%, 50%, 25% speed.

We had some lightning and thunderstorms in the Bay Area this evening (unusual, about once a year). This is one frame of a video I recorded of a strike. I could be critical about all the water on the windshield, the focus, but this is my first lightning shot and was shooting completely blind. Therefore, I am super excited about what I got.

There was a chance of thunderstorms as it warmed up during two storms. Only thing that happened was lots of interesting looking clouds.
